TAVE / Information

The details behind the agreement.

Common questions, privacy information and website terms. Specific agreements and accepted quotes govern each booking or project.

01 / Frequently Asked Questions

Answers before you sign.

How do I know my date is booked?

Submitting an agreement is not a confirmed booking. TAVE reviews the details and confirms the booking in writing after receiving the required retainer.

How do I sign electronically?

Review the full agreement, check the consent and acceptance boxes, and type your full legal name. Then submit. Your typed signature records your intent to sign.

Can I print or download the agreement?

Yes. Before submitting, use “Preview / Print PDF” to save a draft. After a successful submission, use “Print / Save PDF” on the confirmation page to save the full agreement, terms, and submitted details.

What is the booking retainer?

For standard live bookings, TAVE typically requests a 50% booking retainer, with the balance due seven calendar days before the event unless your accepted quote says otherwise. Payments are handled separately.

What if I cancel or move the event?

Notify TAVE in writing. Rescheduling depends on availability and mutual agreement. Any retained retainer or cancellation charges are governed by the signed agreement and applicable law.

Can I change the quoted price in the contract?

No. The agreed price is taken from TAVE’s written quote, not chosen or edited by the client on this site. Include the quote reference so the details can be matched.

What happens if it rains during an outdoor event?

A safe covered performance space and suitable power may be needed. If conditions become hazardous, TAVE may pause or decline to play; the parties will first consider a safe alternative.

Do live bookings include sound equipment?

Equipment depends on the agreed event scope and venue. Your accepted quote determines the setup and any added requirements.

Is the $150 studio session fee hourly?

The standard recording fee is $150 per track (one song), including up to two consolidated revision rounds. In-person session timing is arranged separately, generally with about one hour for the initial recording.

What counts as a recording revision?

One consolidated round of reasonable changes to the existing recording. A completely new arrangement, extra tracks, or major new work requires a new quote.

Does paying for a session automatically buy all royalties?

No. Performance use, master rights, songwriting splits, credits and any royalty participation need to be stated in the accepted agreement or a separate signed addendum.

What is the difference between a master and a composition?

A musical composition covers underlying music and lyrics; a sound recording is a particular recorded performance. Each can have different owners and royalty arrangements.

What if I need a green room or hospitality?

For larger live events, TAVE can discuss load-in, secure holding areas, water, stage and hospitality requirements. Include them in the booking details for confirmation.
